Training and Professional Development
- CaLD Better Events Program - Series of 7 workshops for culturally and linguistically diverse communities in Hobsons Bay. Topics included risk, safety, emergency planning, marketing, insurance, event project planning, gas and electrical safety and accessing grants.
- Event Risk, Safety and Emergency Management - two full day workshops for event professions. Speakers included risk experts, insurance, MFB, CFA, Victoria Police, Ambulance Victoria.
- Safe Event Site Planning – full day workshop delivered for local government and other event officers. Speakers included event specialists from Energy Safe Victoria (gas and electrical safety), the Victorian Building Commission, Liquor Licensing Victoria, Food Safety Victoria and the City of Melbourne. Accessibility experts and a event hire company also provided information on safe and effective site planning. See Workshop Content and Agenda.
- Event Traffic and Transport Management Planning – full day workshops delivered for local government event officers and event organisers. Speakers included event specialists from VicRoads, Victoria Police, Department of Infrastructure, City of Melbourne and Shepparton and Victorian Managed Insurance Authority. Workshops conducted in conjunction with Victorian Employees Chamber of Commerce (VECCI)
- Good Event Practice – Building Regulations, Gas and Electrical Safety, Transport Management Planning. Conducted with relevant regulatory authority and VECCI for event organisers and local government, 2007
- Event Risk and Safety - workshop conducted for grant recipients at the City of Monash, 2009 and 2010
