THA Consulting delivers a range of event workshops, seminars and training. Significant research is undertaken to ensure information is relevant and up to date and where necessary, liaison will occur with various experts within the industry in developing and delivering workshops.

THA Consulting has worked with a variety of individual organisations and local and state governments to develop Policies, Strategic Plans and Business Plans.
Clear policy directions and strategic plans are a crucial ingredient in organisations achieving their full potential. A shared vision also builds enthusiasm and motivation among key stakeholders and can reduce the risk of staff and volunteer burnout.
Given the increasing importance placed on events within communities, government at all levels are taking a more strategic approach to event development, delivery and support. THA Consulting has worked with government and local communities to develop Event Strategies and Policies. This has included the development of event strategic plans, policies for event development, attraction and support and funding programs for local government. THA Consulting has also developed Event Strategies for specific event precincts. An example of recent work is the development of the Chinese Precinct Events Strategy for the City of Greater Bendigo.
Feasibility Analysis and Reviews
THA Consulting conducts reviews and undertakes feasibility analysis for projects requiring in-depth analysis, research, consultation and investigations. Feasibility studies and reviews are conducted using a methodology tailored for the project. Reviews will generally involve consultations with keys stakeholders, good practice reviews, benchmarking and qualitative and/or quantitative research.

THA Consulting advises various organisations on risk, compliance and good governance procedures. Australian Standards (AS/NZS 4360:2004) Risk Management training is conducted, and THA Consulting provides advice to on compliance requirements relating to events and associated activities. THA Consulting also provides advice on good governance procedures.
Developing and documenting policies and procedures is an essential component of good governance, management and operations. THA Consulting has analyses policies and procedures and developed new systems and procedures to ensure sound, manageable and transparent processes.
The events sector has become highly complex with an ever increasing array of risk, safety and compliance issues. THA Consulting develops Event Guides for local government and other organisations which includes information on the key issues event organisers need to be aware of when hosting an event within the municipality, venue or organisation. Event Guides are developed specifically to meet the needs of the client – recognising that there are a variety of local laws and ways of operating among Councils and organisations.
THA Consulting has worked with a variety of clients to develop Event Guides and has worked with venues to develop specific Risk and Safety Plans. See Clients list for details.
THA Consulting provides event and project management services and advice, from the initial start up phase, implementing effective systems and procedures, to managing events and projects. THA Consulting can establish a project plan and deliver an event and project on time, within budget and in consultation with key stakeholders.
THA Consulting can develop funding, grant and sponsorship guidelines for organisations. The guidelines, application forms and evaluations are developed to align with the organisations policies.
THA Consulting also has an excellent track record in writing successful funding submissions for various grant programs and a sound knowledge of the requirements of various funding organisations.
